National Assembly continues deliberation on the National Assembly (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2024

The House continued its deliberation in the National Assembly (Amendment) Bill 2024 today. The Chairperson of the Legislative Committee, member from Nyisho-Saephu constituency presented the amendments made as per the recommendations of the House in the previous session. 

Continuing the deliberation, the House unanimously decided to retain Chapter 15: Motion of No confidence against the Government and Council of Ministers without any amendment. 

Furthermore, a member also raised the need for inclusion of a clause on sexual harassment under the code of conduct among other recommendations and amendments. 

The House will vote to adopt the National Assembly (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan, 2024 on Monday, 1 July 2024.
