Students from Doteng Lower Secondary School, Paro witness the First Sitting of the Joint Sitting
Twenty-nine students and sixteen teachers from Doteng Lower Secondary School in Doteng gewog, Paro, visited the Parliament today as part of a Study Tour Programme for students who excelled and scored 90% and above in the Mid-Term Examination. The Speaker, Minister for Education and Skill Development (MoESD), Minister for Energy and Natural Resources (MoENR), the Leader of the Opposition, Deputy Speaker, and Member from Lamgong Wangchang constituency met and interacted with the students and teachers during their visit.
Such visits are aimed at educating youth on parliamentary practices and provides a valuable opportunity for students to gain firsthand experience and insights into how parliamentary proceedings function, fostering a deeper understanding of democratic governance.
