Third Reading on the Property Tax Bill of Bhutan 2022-DZ
The Third reading on the Property Tax Bill of Bhutan 2022 commenced today with the Deputy Chairperson of the Legislative Committee, Hon’ble Karma Lhamo submitting the Committee’s recommendation on the Bill. The Bill was referred to the Committee on 10th November 2022.
The House today deliberated and supported the Committee’s recommendation on Title, Commencement, Extent, Property Tax Revenues, General and Land Tax. The House also commenced deliberation on each section of the Bill.
The Committee was directed to look into adding a new section after Section 8 under Land Tax and report back to the House. The deliberation on the remaining sections of the bill will be continued tomorrow.
