The Human Rights and Foreign Relation Committee Holds its First Meeting

The Human Rights and Foreign Relations Committee, Chaired by Hon. Rinzin Dorji, Member from Phuentsholing constituency, convened its inaugural meeting to address tasks assigned during the plenary session of the National Assembly on March 12, 2024.

The Committee's foremost agenda centered around the closure of international border gates and the challenges it posed  to businesses and the public and the need to look into the issue. The Committee also decided to carry out more in depth study on the policies concerning the import and facilitation of labor mobility through various southern border gates.
