Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific IDEA calls on the Speaker
The Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific of Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance Mrs. Leena Rikkila Tamang made a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Speaker today.
Hon’ble Speaker welcomed the Regional Director and expressed gratitude to the IDEA for all the support provided to the Parliament of Bhutan. The International IDEA through project “Nyamdrel” has supported the Parliament in numerous capacity building activities, trainings and development of strategies.
The Regional Director thanked the Speaker for the warm welcome and for all the support provided to their projects. She expressed hope that the output of their projects until now were up to the expectations of the Parliament of Bhutan.
The discussions on possibility of further support to the Parliament of Bhutan were also carried out.
