A total of eleven questions were raised to the Ministers in Group A during the question hour session. Eight of the eleven questions were to the Hon’ble Prime Minister, while the remaining three questions were raised to the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport.

The questions to the Prime Minister were on what the Government is doing to address the challenges of exporting goods, Government’s plans to  resolve the issue of frequent power blackouts in the Dzongkhags, Dungkhags and communities, reasons for enhancing the incentive on Inward Remittance Scheme (IRS) from 2% to 10% up to December 2023 only and not beyond, initiatives to improve access to loans, priority projects for the most vulnerable groups like the physically disabled and the senior citizens not entitled for pension in their twilight years in the 13th FYP, rationale behind not providing subsidized timber for renovation purposes of Lhakhangs and Goendheys and the ban on the construction of temporary Tshamkhangs, plans to open the border gates to light vehicles as in the past, and the state  of  the Government’s pledge to narrow the gap between rich and poor.

The Minister for Infrastructure and Transport was questioned on how the Ministry is planning to address the issue faced by the public while carrying out developmental activities in  town area in Bumthang which has been identified as red and green zones, status of Dewathang-Nganglam and Jomotsangkha-Samrang highway and update on maintaining zero potholes in four thromdes, and the current status of Lhamoizingkha-Sarpang highway.

It was the last question hour session of the 9th Session. A total of 56 questions were raised to the Cabinet Ministers during this session.
