National Assembly adopts Civil Liability Bill-DZ

Before the motion to adopt the Civil Liability Bill of Bhutan 2022, the Chairperson of the Human Rights and Foreign Relations Committee presented its review report on Sub-sections 22(personal injury) and 23(personal injury or death) of the Section 169 on Definition and Section 73 under Strict Liability. With regard to Sub-sections 22 and 23, the House retained the original definition while a clerical change was made in Section 73.

Subsequently, the Chairperson moved the motion to adopt the Civil Liability Bill of Bhutan 2022. The National Assembly passed the Civil Liability Bill of Bhutan 2022 with 33 members voting Yes8 voting No, and 3 abstaining out of 44 members present and voting
