Members visits the newly consecrated Wangduephodrang Dzong-DZ
Members and the Secretariat staff of the National Assembly of Bhutan led by the Hon’ble Speaker visited the newly consecrated Wangduephodrang Dzong today. The Hon’ble Members were warmly received by Wangdue Lam Neten, Dzongdag and Dzong Reconstruction Officers.
On arrival, the project engineer made a presentation on the reconstruction of the Dzong covering the brief history, architectural design, details of the funding and expenditures. The newly constructed Dzong has all the required amenities and scientific designs and features with quality construction.
Hon’ble Speaker thanked Dzongda and team for the extended hospitality and for the opportunity to get blessings from the old and newly commissioned relics including the Thousand Zhabdrung statues. The relics and Nangters are of incomparable values.
The members also took the opportunity to visit the renewable wind and solar plant in Rubesa.
