His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo Graces the Closing Ceremony of the 8th Session of the Third Parliament
His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo graced the closing ceremony of the Eighth Session of the Third Parliament today. The ceremony was also attended by members of the Royal Family, senior government officials, foreign dignitaries and Institute and school students.
The Chairperson of the National Council, the Opposition Leader and Home Minister expressed their appreciation to His Majesty the King for gracing the closing session. They also expressed deep gratitude to His Majesty the King for leading, guiding, and protecting the country and the people all the time and for being a selfless leader. They offered their commitment and re-dedicated themselves to serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum to fulfill the aspirations of His Majesty the King.
The Speaker, in his concluding address, expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King for gracing the closing of the Session and for the continuous Kidu granted to the people enabling them to live a better life. He also submitted that it has been an immense honor and pride for the Parliament to receive and be able to deliberate on the Gyalsung Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2022. Further, he submitted that the historic Gyalsung Act of the Kingdom of Bhutan 2022 is a precious gift from His Majesty to the Bhutanese people at large and to the youths in particular and that it should be taken as an opportunity to rededicate oneself in serving the country’s security and sovereignty, wellbeing, and unity.
The Closing Ceremony concluded with the offering of Trashi Moenlam to His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo by the Members of the Parliament led by Zhung Dratshang.
