Good Governance Committee of the Fourth National Assembly holds is its first meeting

The Good Governance Committee held its first meeting on 15 March 2024,  under the Chairmanship of Hon. Lhakpa Tshering Tamang, Member of Parliament from Sergithang-Tsirang Toed constituency.

The meeting was held to deliberate on matters assigned to the Committee by the Plenary held on 12 March 2024  and to establish strategies and plans for addressing these issues. The three topics designated by the Plenary to the Committee were Land Related Issues, Individual Work Plan and Max Moderation  and Clustering of Finance.  

The issues were distributed within the sub-groups for further research and deliberation and it was decided that the findings by the sub-groups will be presented in the next meeting of the Committee scheduled on April 22, 2024. 

The Good Governance Committee is composed of nine Members, five from Ruling and four from the Opposition Parties.
