Deputy Speaker visits his constituency
Hon’ble Tshencho Wangdi, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Bhutan is currently visiting his constituency in Punakha. On Monday, 28th August an entry meeting was held with Dasho Dzongda, Dzongrab and sector heads of the Dzongkhag Administration. The Minister for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Lyonpo Tandi Dorj was also present during the meeting. During the meeting, the attendees were informed about the Acts passed in the last session. The Dy Speaker expressed his appreciation for successfully completing various developmental activities under the 12th FYP.
In the afternoon, the Dy Speaker accompanied the Minister and met with the health workers of Punakha District Hospital.The session was marked by constructive dialogue and addressing of concerns raised by them.
In the following weeks, the Dy Speaker will continue his visit and further engage with the people in the six gewogs of his community. He also plans to visit school and carry out a review of the ongoing development projects in the Gewogs.
The Dy Speaker will be in his constituency from 27 August till 19 September 2023.
