Constituency Visits update: Thrimshing-Kangpara, Wamrong, Radhi-Sakteng, Bartsam-Shongphu constituencies

Members of the National Assembly, Hon. Damche Tenzin from Thrimshing-Kangpara constituency, Hon. Lam Dorji from Wamrong constituency, Hon. Tashi Tenzin from Radhi-Sakteng constituency and Hon. Rinchen Wangdi from Barthsam-Shongphu constituency are currently on their constituency visits  for the first time after assuming their offices. An entry meeting was held on 3 April, 2024 with the Dzongdag, Dzongrab, Drangpon and sector heads. Hon’ble Leader of the Opposition Party, Dasho Pema Chewang, also joined the meeting with the Dzongkhag staff.  

The Dzongdag presented the past achievements from the 12th Five Year Plan and outlined the draft 13th Five Year Plan and strategies to achieve the target. The Opposition Leader and the members offered valuable insights on the Dzongkhag's 13th FYP and engaged in discussion regarding the  successful implementation of the plan.

Hon. Members also met with the Local Government leaders from all 11 Gewogs of the Dzongkhag and the Gups presented pressing issues from their respective Gewogs. The Opposition Leader committed to address the concerns raised. 

In the following weeks the Members will continue to visit and engage with people in their respective constituencies.
