Ambassador-Designate of Mongolia to Bhutan called on the Deputy Speaker, Chairman of the Bhutan-Mongolia Parliamentary Group-DZ

Ambassador-Designate of Mongolia to Bhutan, H.E. Mr. Ganbold Dambajav called on the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Bhutan, Hon’ble Tshencho Wangdi who is the Chairman of the Bhutan-Mongolia Parliamentary Group. The members of the Bhutan Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship Group Hon’ble Tshering Chhoden, Hon’ble Kinga Penjor and Hon’ble Dinesh Pradhan also attended the call on. 

The Deputy Speaker welcomed the Ambassador-Designate to the Parliament and the country, congratulating him. The Ambassador-Designate expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality provided to him by the Government and how glad he is to be able to have direct contact with the Parliamentarians.

The Call on explored the possibilities of exchange programs of cultural and Parliamentary business and visits between the Parliaments of both the countries in the upcoming time and also planned a virtual meeting of the two Parliamentary Group members. This was on the view of strengthening and enhancing the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Formal diplomatic relations between Bhutan and Mongolia were established on 18th January 2012, after a Joint Communiqué was signed between the Permanent Representatives of the two countries to the United Nations in New York.
