
ACC presents its Annual Report to Good Governance Committee
The team led by Chairperson Hon’ble Deki Pema of Anti-Corruption presented their Annual (June 2021 - July 2022) Report to the Members of the Good Governance Committee of the National Assembly of Bhutan on 17th October 2022. The submission of the Anti-Corruption Commission’s Annual Report to the Parliament is mandated by Article 27(4) of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bhutan and section 169 (1) of the Anti-Corruption Act of Bhutan 2011.
Hon’ble Speaker also attended the presentation.
The presentation highlighted on the:
- Prevention of corruption;
- Complaints and referrals;
- Investigation of corrupt acts;
- Overall Performance of ACC; and
- Challenges and way forward.
The presentation was followed by discussion on a wide range of issues related to curbing corruption and its challenges.
The annual report will be further reviewed and presented by the Good Governance Committee to the 8th Session of the 3rd Parliament on 7th November in the form of a review report and recommendations for deliberation. The 8th Session of the 3rd Parliament is scheduled to commence from 4th November 2022.
