The Members of the National Assembly of Bhutan, led by the Speaker, visited Pangrizampa Institute of Astrology to offer prayers and nyendar today at the ongoing Annual Jana Chidoe Kurim.
The sacred ritual, performed by the Pangri Zampa Druk Phodrangdhing College of Astrology, is conducted annually for the well-being of all sentient beings, and for the peace and prosperity of the nation. This yearโ€™s Jungwa Chidoe, which began on 18 April will conclude on 26 April 2025.
The Kurim is also dedicated to the continued good health, happiness, and long life of Their Majesties the King and the Queen. It is believed to avert the negative influences of natural elements, ill omens associated with birth and time, and misfortunes that may affect the harmony of the world.
