His Excellency Mr. Vakhtang Jaoshvili, Ambassador of Georgia to India, who is on an official visit to Bhutan from 19–23 May 2025, paid a courtesy call to the Hon’ble Speaker at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang.
His Excellency was received by the Hon’ble Speaker, who expressed appreciation for the valuable insights shared during their discussions. Both sides explored potential areas of cooperation and discussed the formation of the Bhutan–Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group to further strengthen parliamentary engagement and enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Speaker reaffirmed Bhutan’s commitment to nurturing and deepening the friendly ties between Bhutan and Georgia and thanked the Government of Georgia for its continued support, including the scholarship programs for Bhutanese students.
The Speaker also conveyed his best wishes for a pleasant and fruitful stay in Bhutan.
