The staff of the National Assembly joined the Chairperson, Members, Secretary General and staff of the National Council in the five-day workshop on “Strategic Foresight for an Agile, Adaptive and Anticipatory Governance” held in Thimphu from 6 - 10 November 2023. 

The workshop was organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with Royal Institute of Management (RIM).

The workshop offered participants the opportunity to enhance decision-making by honing foresight skills and gained a nuanced understanding of signals, trends, and drivers of issues enabling proactive interventions. It also iterated the importance of a holistic approach to understanding and resolving the problem through systems thinking, stakeholder consultation, root cause analysis, horizon scanning and sense making of the data.
