The Women, Children and Youth Committee (WCYC) holds consultation with the National Commission for Women and Children (NCWC)

The Women, Children and Youth Committee (WCYC) held a consultation with the National Commission for Women and Children (NCWC) on 16 May 2024 to review the progress on  the six recommendations  made by the erstwhile WCYC in the Third Session of the Third Parliament. 

Chaired by Hon. Dorji Wangmo,  member from Kengkhar-Werringla, the meeting discussed the  actions taken and progress made in  the  legal and policy framework, enhancement of  multi-sectorial coordination, increasing awareness and capacity-building initiatives, mainstreaming gender issues, promoting gender-friendly and child well-being, and reducing female unemployment by prioritizing resources for gender equality and child protection.
