The second batch of Research Assistants complete 3-Day Training on Policy Advocacy, Media Engagement, Research, and Policy Review

The second batch of Research Assistants from the National Assembly participated in an intensive three day workshop on 'Advocacy skills, strategic media engagement, research and policy review,' aimed at enhancing the skills of research assistants in Paro from 6 to 8 November 2024. The program covered a range of essential skills, including Policy Advocacy, Strategic Media Engagement, Research, and Policy Review.

The training was designed to equip the young Research Assistants with the tools necessary to enhance their effectiveness in areas such as combating misinformation, networking, research methodologies, advocacy, strategic media engagement, research methodologies, and policy review skills to the participants. It is anticipated that the research assistants will be equipped with relevant skills required to support parliamentarians in evidence-based policy and decision making.

The training was organized by the Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy in collaboration with Deutsche Welle Akademie (DWA), under the EU-funded project Building Inclusive Democracy: Civil Society, Parliamentarians, Media, and Youth Strengthen Good Governance in Bhutan.
