The Public Accounts Committee commences public consultations

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Parliament of Bhutan convened a consultation meeting with the management teams of PHPA I and PHPA II, regarding unresolved audit matters. The consultation meeting was also attended by the Deputy Auditor General from the Royal Audit Authority. The consultation meeting underscored the importance of resolving irregularities at the earliest and commitment of the PAC in promoting responsible stewardship of public resources. Today the committee convened a consultation meeting with the Phuentsholing Thromde and Phuentsholing Hospital.

Tomorrow, the PAC will meet Penden Cement Authority Limited and Tashi Choeling Dungkhag, Samtse.

The PAC’s review report of the Annual  Audit  Report  2022 -2023 and unresolved irregularities from the past review reports will be deliberated in the upcoming summer session of the Parliament.
