The Parliament of Bhutan Launches the Parliament-Private Sector Collaboration Strategy

On 30 September 2024, the Hon’ble Speaker of the National Assembly, the Hon’ble Chairperson of the National Council, the Ambassador of the EU, and the President of the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry launched the Parliament-Private Sector Collaboration Strategy at the Gyelyong Tshogkhang. This initiative, part of the Voice for Green Change Partnership (V4GCP), is led by the Handicrafts Association of Bhutan in partnership with BCCI and other sector associations, aims to enhance legislative consultations, strengthen government engagement on private sector issues, and build ties with local businesses across Dzongkhags. Funded by the European Union, it will include an Annual Parliament-Private Sector Meet to improve communication and capacity development, ensuring that business voices are heard and fostering sustainable economic growth in Bhutan.
