Research Assistants complete 3-Day Training on Policy Advocacy Skills, Strategic Media, Engagement, Research and Policy Review

Research Assistants from the Parliament attended a three-day training programme on Advocacy Skills, Strategic Media Engagement, Research, and Policy Review at Paro from 30 July-1 August 2024.

The training aimed to build the capabilities of young Research Assistants, enhancing their efficiency in advocacy, strategic media engagement, misinformation management, networking, research methodologies, and policy review. The goal is to foster good governance through a more informed, proactive citizenry and increased public participation. Participants were equipped with valuable tools and strategies for effective advocacy, driving social change, and addressing relevant community issues. Practical application was emphasized through a mock session to practice the skills acquired.

The training was organized by the Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy in partnership with Deutsche Welle Akademie (DWA) under the project ‘Building Inclusive Democracy: Civil Society, Parliamentarians, Media, and Youth Strengthen Good Governance in Bhutan’ with funding support from the European Union.
