Ratification of the Air Services Agreement Between the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of the State of Kuwait
The Member In-charge of the Bill, the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, moved the motion to introduce the Air Services Agreement signed between the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of the State of Kuwait for ratification. The motion was supported by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade. The House endorsed the motion to deliberate on the Agreement.
In the Second Reading, the Member In-charge presented the benefits of the Agreement which includes: building stronger diplomatic ties between the two countries, promoting tourism, generating employment, promoting economic growth and enhancing trade and connectivity.
The House referred the Agreement to the Human Rights and Foreign Relations Committee for its review. The Committee will submit its review report to the House for its Third Reading on 20 June 2024.
