Public Accounts Committee conducts consultations with its stakeholders

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is currently conducting  a series of consultative meetings with its stakeholders  to review the recommendations made by the Royal Audit Authority on  the Performance Audit Report on Irrigation system and Preparedness for Cybersecurity in the 9th Session.  

 The Committee  carried out consultative meetings with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MoAL), Department of Agriculture, Department of Water, Department of Infrastructure Development and Department of Environment and Climate Change on the Irrigation systems. 

The Committee  also  consulted with the Royal Monetary Authority (RMA), Bank of Bhutan Limited (BOBL), Bhutan National Bank Limited (BNBL), GovTech, Bhutan Information Communication and Media Authority (BICMA), and Royal Bhutan Police (RBP) on the Performance Audit Report on Preparedness for Cybersecurity. 

Further, the Committee is currently visiting the Dzongkhag and met with various Dzongkhags  and Gewog  administrations in Wangdue Phodrang, Punakha, and Tsirang to understand the condition of the irrigation system in different regions and interacted with Water User Groups during field visits. 

 The PAC will continue its consultations in Dagana before returning to Thimphu on 30th July 2023 and submit their review report to the 10th Session of the Third Parliament.
