Presentation on Gyalsung Program to the Members of Parliament
The Gyalsung Core Working Group led by Dasho Karma Tshiteem presented a brief overview of the Gyalsung Program to the Members of Parliament at the Lhen-Zom Khangzang today. The presentation was attended by the Speaker, Leader of the Opposition and the Members of the National Assembly of Bhutan.
The Gyalsung Program, born out of His Majesty's vision for our youth, aims to uphold Bhutanese values of integrity, discipline, excellence, accountability, and loyalty to the Tsa-Wa-Sum. It includes training in national education, basic life skills and skills development in crucial areas. Each year, some 13,000 youths aged 18 will participate, marking a transition to adulthood.
Dasho Karma Tshiteem added that the program will be launched this year in the auspicious Dragon Year, beginning on 5th September 2024.
