Parliamentarians get a Hands-On Training on Dining Etiquettes
The
National Assembly Secretariat organized a specialized training session on
dining etiquettes and table manners for the Members of Parliament (MPs) and the
Secretariat staff today at the Royal Institute for Tourism and
Hospitality (RITH),
Motithang, Thimphu.
The session included a brief session on Bhutanese basic dining etiquette followed by a lecture cum practical session on international dining etiquette. The event is aimed to enhance the understanding of the traditional Zha-Cha Dro Sum and the importance of maintaining high standards of decorum during formal events and international engagements.
This session is part of a broader strategy to reinforce the soft skills of the nation's representatives, ensuring they are adept in both legislative functions and the finer points of social interaction.
