Human Rights and Foreign Relations Committee (HRFRC) meets with the Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO)

The Human Rights and Foreign Relations Committee held a  consultation meeting with the Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO)  today in Lhen-Zom Khangzang, Gyelyong Tshogkhang. The consultation was Chaired by Hon. Sangay Thinley, Dy Chairperson of the HRFRC. 

During the consultation, several were highlighted such as  additional access to Entry and Exit points, duration discounts that could encourage tourists to spend more time, SDF free for border towns, Informal Operation of Tour Operators, incentives for tourism  etc. The Committee and the ABTO representative also discussed the need for rules and regulations for Foreign Tour Operators and review of existing monumental fees. 

The Committee informed ABTO that it will look into the issues raised and extend its full support.
