Constituency visit update: South Thimphu

The Member of the National Assembly,  Hon’ble Tshewang Rinzin, from  South Thimphu constituency, is currently on his constituency visit from March 10-16, 2025. During this period, he will be meeting with the residents of Geneykha Gewog, Mewang Gewog, Chang Gewog, and Dagala Gewog.

In line with the program, on March 10, 2025, the  Member visited and engaged with the people of Geneykha Gewog, where discussions focused on the resolutions of the Second Session of the Fourth Parliament. Additionally, the Member also highlighted on His Majesty's National Day Address, emphasizing the significance of the Diamond Strategy for the people of Bhutan. He also addressed key issues such as the status of the Economic Stimulus Plan, the Marriage Act, the Parliamentary Entitlement Act, and updates on the Central School within the four Gewogs.

During the meeting, the residents raised concerns regarding the shortage of drinking and irrigation water in Geneykha, Zanglaykha, and Tshochekha Chewogs. Additionally, there was a constructive dialogue on the need for the Education Act to ensure the well-being and future development of the younger generation.

The meeting with the people of Geneykha concluded on a positive note. The Member will continue his visit to the other three Gewogs until March 16, 2025.
