Constituency news update; Phuentsholing constituency, Chukha Dzongkhag
The Member of National Assembly, Hon. Rinzin Dorji, from
Phuentsholing constituency, Chukha Dzongkhag is currently on a constituency
visit from 5 - 21 April 2024. On the first day of his visit, Hon. Rinzin Dorji,
attended the Dzongkhag Tshogdu held in Chukha Dzong on 5 April 2024.
Hon’ble Chairperson of the National Council and the Member of the National Assembly, Hon. Pemba (Bongo-Chapcha constituency) were also present at the meeting. Issues pertaining to the payment of Property Income Tax, difficulties presented by the presence of electrical poles on private land during the construction of houses, permit for timber were some of the issues discussed.
During the week,
Hon. Rinzin Dorji met and engaged with the local government leaders and
officials of Metakha Gewog. Hon. Member is scheduled to visit and further
engage with the officials and public of other gewogs in his constituency. A
visit to Kamji Central School is also scheduled during the course of the visit.
