The Speaker of the National Assembly of Bhutan met with participants of the 'Impact Safari' from the GNH Centre Bhutan at Lhen-zom Khangzang today. The delegation was warmly welcomed with a traditional Marchang ceremony administered by the Secretary General of the National Assembly.

In his address to the group, the Speaker emphasized Bhutanโ€™s development philosophy of Gross National Happiness (GNH), highlighting its four pillars and nine domains that promote holistic development. He underlined the Parliamentโ€™s role in safeguarding GNH through key legislations such as the Environment Conservation Act and also highlighted His Majesty the Kingโ€™s visionary initiatives of the Gelephu Mindfulness City.

The Speaker encouraged participants to become ambassadors of GNH, promoting compassion, sustainability, and collective well-being. The event concluded with a presentation on Bhutanese Democracy by the Secretary General and a guided tour of the Parliament Hall.
