The Good Governance Committee hold consultation meeting with Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT)
On 17 October 2024, the Good Governance Committee held a consultation meeting with the Department of Infrastructure Development (DoID), under MoIT, regarding the pressing issue of clustering engineering, now referred to as the "Engineering Agency," at the Lhen-Zom Khangzang, National Assembly of Bhutan.
The meeting included a brief presentation by the MoIT, outlining the agency's structure, objectives, and the importance of aligning human resources for effective infrastructure development. Key discussions focused on enhancing collaboration among various ministries and regional offices to streamline engineering processes and improve project management. The committee emphasized the need for upskilling engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality infrastructure projects across the country. The meeting concluded with a commitment to further engage stakeholders in the ongoing development of the Engineering Agency, aiming for a more efficient optimization of human resource and sustainable approach to infrastructure development in Bhutan.
