On December 31, 2024, the Honourable Speaker, alongside the member of the Wamrong Constituency, met with civil servants, local business community, and community members to discuss governance and regional development priorities.
In his address, the Speaker emphasized the ongoing discussions in Parliament on key issues, such as economic resilience and local governance reforms. One important topic was the Economic Stimulus Plan (ESP), which has played a crucial role in supporting businesses in the region. The Speaker reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering economic growth and ensuring equitable development across all constituencies.
The meeting also served as a platform for an interactive dialogue between the Speaker and the local community, strengthening the connection between national and local governance. Additionally, the Speaker attended the Tshechu in Tsangpo village under Tshimshing Gewog, where he interacted with community members who had gathered to witness the annual community Tshechu.
