Ambassador of Türkiye to Bhutan calls on the Hon’ble Speaker-DZ
The Ambassador Firat Sunel of the Republic of Türkiye to Bhutan made a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Speaker today.
The Hon’ble Speaker welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated him on his appointment as the new Ambassador of Türkiye to Bhutan. The Speaker thanked the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye for the warm hospitality during his visit to Türkiye with a team of MPs from Bhutan in 2019. He had also requested the Ambassador to convey the warmest greetings and congratulatory messages to the new Speaker of Türkiye. The Speaker and Ambassador discussed matters relating to the promotion of bilateral relationship between two countries through Parliamentary activities.
They also discussed the possibility of further collaboration in tourism and education scholarships.
Formal diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bhutan and Republic of Türkiye was established on 26th September 2012.
