UNICEF Representative makes a Farewell Courtesy Call to the Hon'ble Speaker
Ms. Andrea James, UNICEF Representative paid a farewell courtesy call to the Hon’ble Speaker today.
Ms. Andrea James, highlighted the areas of cooperation between the Royal Government of Bhutan and UNICEF such as mental health, child protection and children's rights and mentioned several activities in 13th FYP like implementation of the Social Protection System for the marginalized groups. She expressed her heartiest congratulations for Bhutan in graduating from Least Developed Countries (LDC).
The Speaker offered expressed appreciation for Ms. James' dedicated service and contribution during her term a and offered a small token of gift for her selfless service for the people of Bhutan.
Ms. Andrea joined the Bhutan UNICEF office in May 2023.
