Newly Appointed Royal Civil Service Commissioners led by Chairperson pays a courtesy call to the Hon’ble Speaker

The newly elected Chairperson  Tashi Pem and Commissioners of the Royal Civil Service Commission paid a courtesy call to the Hon’ble Speaker today. During the meeting, the Speaker congratulated them on their recent appointments and exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between the two institutions and discussed matters related to the civil service and its role in serving the nation. Both parties expressed their commitment to promoting effective governance and serving the people of Bhutan with dedication and integrity.

His Majesty the King granted Dhar to appoint the Chairperson and Commissioners of the 4th Commission at the Tashichhodzong on 28 April 2024. 

In accordance with Article 26.2 of the Constitution, the Chairperson and Commissioners of the RCSC are appointed by the Druk Gyalpo from a list of names recommended jointly by the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice of Bhutan, the Speaker, the Chairperson of the National Council, and the Leader of the Opposition Party.

The five-year term of the 3rd Commission, headed by Chairperson Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee completed its term on April 16, 2024.
