Constituency Visit Update; Mongar Dzongkhag
Members of the National Assembly, Hon. Dorji Wangmo (Kengkhar-Weringla
constituency), Hon. Naiten Wangchuk (Monggar constituency) and Hon. Kinzang
Wangchuk (Drametse-Ngatshang constituency) are currently on their first
constituency visits to Mongar Dzongkhag. On Friday, 5 April, 2024 the newly
elected Members were welcomed to
the Mongar Dzong by Dasho Dzongda followed by lighting of
butter lamps in the Dzong. An
entry meeting was then held with the Dasho Dzongda and sector heads of the
Dzongkhag Administration.
The agenda of discussion were mainly on the achievements of
the 12th Five Year Plan (FYP), draft 13th FYP, and the national level project
proposals of Mongar Dzongkhag. Hon. Members expressed their appreciation on the
successful completion of various developmental activities under the 12th FYP
and assured their support in enhancing good governance and progress.
In the following days, the MPs will continue their visits to
their respective gewogs and chiwogs and further engage with the people to get their views and issues faced for discussions in the upcoming
Parliament Session which will be held sometime in June 2024.
