Environment and Climate Change Committee Reviews Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation ( BTFEC’s) Environmental Initiatives and Future Plans

On August 27, 2024, the Environment and Climate Change Committee convened a consultation meeting with the Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTFEC) at Lhen-Zom Khangzang, National Assembly.


The discussion focused on BTFEC's environmental strategies, including its milestones, vision, and objectives. Key areas covered included the Fund’s constitutional duties, biodiversity preservation, climate change adaptation, and human-wildlife coexistence. 


The Committee also examined project funding processes, climate resilience, ecotourism, and biodiversity issues, and explored solutions to address these challenges.
