25 September, 2024: Class Five Students from Soeltapsa Primary School Met with Speaker and Deputy Speaker during Study Tour
On September 25, 2024 class five students from Soeltapsa Primary School under Tendruk Gewog, Samtse, met with the Honorable Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Bhutan during their Study Tour Programme to Thimphu. The students engaged in an interactive session with the Speaker, sharing their experiences and learning from their journey. The Speaker encouraged them to work hard in their studies and reminded them of their future responsibilities to serve the King, country, and people. The meeting concluded with a memorable photo session with the Speaker.
Following the meeting, the Deputy Speaker took the students on a tour of the Parliament building, where they explored key areas such as the Grand Hall, the Prime Minister's office, and the Deputy Speaker's office. The visit offered the students a firsthand experience of the functioning of the nation’s highest institution, enriching their knowledge and understanding of Bhutan’s Parliamentary system.
