
National Assembly adopts the Budget Appropriation Bill for FY 2025-26 and Supplementary Budget Appropriation Bill for FY 2024-25
The Economic and Finance Committee reported that it had received the Action Taken Report submitted by the Ministry which was observed to be in line with the Committee’s earlier observations and recommendations resolved by the House. The Committee noted that several issues have been addressed, while others are currently being followed up.
Following the report, the Finance Minister moved the motion to pass the Budget Appropriation Bill for the Financial Year 2025-26 and the Supplementary Budget Appropriation Bill for the Financial Year 2024-25 for sums amounting to Nu. 138,545.163 million and. Nu. 1,588.023 million respectively. The Finance Minister expressed appreciation to Members of Parliament, the Economic and Finance Committee, and all stakeholders for their valuable support and contributions throughout the budget deliberations.
All 44 members present and voting unanimously voted in favour of both Bills. The Bills will be transmitted to the National Council as per Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of Bhutan 2022
